Working model: the CDT plates are genetically encoded into the Priest-Kings, not separate objects. A plate cannot be lifted like a relic; it can only be turned by turning the King who carries it. So "Thoth stole the 11th plate" resolves to the 11th King defected — the theft is the defection. From it came the corrupted root of Hermeticism, esoteric Kabbalah, and the Mystery Schools.
